Exceed Engages Students at “Big on STEM” Career Day in Williams Lake October 16, 2026

Exceed had a great time participating in “Big on STEM,” a career day hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Williams Lake in partnership with Cenovus Energy. The event took place on October 13 at Thompson Rivers University, giving students in grades 7 to 9 the chance to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Joshua Laye from our Kamloops office and Adam Cook from our Williams Lake branch set up hands-on displays introducing students to PLCs (programmable logic controllers), HMIs (human-machine interfaces), and the real-world applications of electrical and controls engineering. Students were guided through an activity with a programmable logic controller, allowing them to see firsthand how it operates.
